Landscape
An irrigation system is a series of pipes, valves and sprinklers that deliver water to different areas of your landscape based on a schedule you set up. These systems can be as simple as one or two zones with a single valve controlling them, or they may cover multiple areas such as a front yard and back yard. The more valves in an irrigation system, the more complicated it becomes. The sprinkler head has a valve that opens when the timer sends a signal and closes when the timer sends another signal. When this happens, water flows through the pipe until it reaches the sprinkler head, which sprays water onto your lawn or garden. Your home's irrigation system may have been working fine until recently. Maybe you've noticed small problems over time that have gotten worse lately or maybe something has gone wrong all at once. Whatever the case may be, if you need help diagnosing the issue or fixing it yourself isn't working, call an irrigation system repair expert who will come out and assess the problem before making any repairs. The most common problems with irrigation systems include clogged or broken sprinkler heads, damaged valves and leaky pipes. If your sprinkler heads have stopped working altogether, you may need a new valve or timer. These are relatively inexpensive parts but can help you save money on water bills in the long run by turning off automatically when it rains or when the sun comes out after dark. If you see water coming from cracks in your driveway, sidewalk or patio and it isn't from rain or snow melt, then there's likely a leak somewhere in your system that needs attention immediately before it causes further damage to your property or foundation.
